IFP Visits Residents of Soshanguve and Mabopane

3rd September 2013

The Inkatha Freedom Party led by Mr Khethamabala Petros Sithole, MP and Mr Alvin Madela conducted door-to-door visits to the residents of Soshanguve and Mabopane earlier today.

IFP spokesperson on Human Settlements, Mr Khethamabala Petrso Sithole, MP said,”The residents of these areas have had enough of the empty promises of a failed government led by the ANC. They are in desperate need of basic services such as water and sanitation and have been promised as much by the ANC led government since 1994. These promises now ring as hollow as they are empty. It is time for change, it is time for the residents to disempower this failed government that is blind to their plight.”

Sithole further added, “I am appalled at the state of affairs in EW, Ward 12, Mabopane. Sanitation and water are non-existent. Pipes are laid for sanitation and then uplifted and then laid again. This has been going on since 1994 and is absolutely criminal and those responsible should be held to answer to the people of Mabopane.”

The Inkatha Freedom Party was warmly received by the residents of both areas and looks forward to actively engaging with them and local government in bringing about better living conditions for all.
