05 June 2013

The Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade (IFPYB) National Chairperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa, announced they will be holding a National Education Summit on the 16th June 2013. The summit will take place at Durban City Hall starting at 10h00.

IFPYB National Chairperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa MP, said “The theme of the summit is: “The right to learn: A fundamental human right threatened”. This summit is aimed at bringing back to life the educational aspirations of the Youth of 1976.”

“The quality of education in South Africa is very poor, and it is our duty as the youth of South Africa to champion the fight for a better quality education. Poor education exacerbates high levels of poverty, unemployment and joblessness,” Hlengwa said.

“This summit will produce a clear programme of action and a declaration on what should be done. We are calling upon all youth to mobilise South Africans around the call for quality education,” he added.

All media are invited to attend!
