It is in the Government's Interest to Find Mpofu's Attackers

12 April 2013

The IFP says it is in the best interest of government to ensure that Advocate Dali Mpofu's attackers are speedily arrested and brought to book.

Reacting to Advocate Dali Mpofu's attack yesterday at Eastern Beach in East London, IFP Deputy National Spokesperson, Mr Joshua Mazibuko said, "Advocate Dali Mpofu's reported attack by criminals yesterday is worrying in the light of his role in defence of the miners in the on-going Marikana massacre inquiry."

Mr Mazibuko added, "While we do not imply that his attackers had anything to do with the on-going case, we believe it is nevertheless in the best interest of the government to ensure that the law-enforcement agencies leave no stone unturned in search of the criminals and haul them before the courts so that the truth will come out."
