IFP Condemns Deadly Terror Attack At Boston Marathon

16 April 2013

The IFP condemns in the strongest possible terms the terror attack which occurred in Boston, USA, in which 3 people lost their lives and scores more were severely maimed and injured.

IFP Spokesperson on International Relations, Mr Ben Skosana MP said, "This is a tragedy. What kind of evil seeks out the indiscriminate killing and maiming of innocent civilians? People who were participating in an annual marathon suddenly found themselves in the middle of a war zone. Our hearts go out to the victims and families of victims of this terror attack."

Skosana added, "The IFP calls on the Department of International Relations to work closely with the US government in ensuring that the two South Africans injured in the attack receive the best possible care and medical assistance."

The IFP sends its deepest sympathies and prayers to those injured and the families of those killed.
