IFP Wishes Bafana Bafana Well

18 January 2013

IFP Spokesperson for Sport and Recreation, Mkhuleko Hlengwa MP, today wished the participants in the 29th African Cup of Nations all the best as it kicks off tomorrow at the National Stadium in Johannesburg.

Mr Hlengwa said, “The IFP also wishes Bafana Bafana well during this tournament. They can be sure of the full support of the IFP. We stand fully behind our 'boys'.”

“The AFCON is yet another reminder of the power of sport to unite. At the end of the tournament may the winner be African comradeship, unity and Ubuntu.”

“The IFP warmly welcomes all African countries and teams participating in AFCON 2013. Don’t feel at home, but rather be at home. South Africa is proudly African.”

“We call upon all South Africans to actively support all teams in general and Bafana Bafana in particular. We implore South Africans to buy tickets and fill up the stadiums to capacity.”

“May the spirit of African solidarity, goodwill and unity be manifested through AFCON 2013,” Mr Hlengwa concluded.
