31 March 2013
On behalf of the Inkatha Freedom Party, and my
own family, I wish everyone who celebrates Easter a time of
joyful celebration. For Christ is risen indeed.
May we take this time to remember the
sacrifice of our Lord for our salvation, and renew our own
perspective based on that glorious knowledge. This is the time
to reconsider our heart attitude, and our relationships with our
fellow man. This is the time to ponder our character and
question whether our lives reveal the patience, kindness,
gentleness and goodness of Christ.
It is also the time to consider those who are
without hope, and without a foundation on which to stand, as
they face the most difficult of circumstances. The widespread
poverty, unemployment, crime, disease and hardship in our
country become unbearable under the weight of despair. Let us,
who know hope, extend a hand to those who are suffering and
share the gift we have within us.
May our lives make a difference to the glory
of our Lord.
