Condolences to Those Who Lost Loved Ones
in Recent KZN Flooding

31 October 2013

The IFP would like to send its deepest sympathies to the families of the 10 people who died due to heavy rains and floods in KwaZulu Natal.

IFP Spokesperson on Human Settlement, Mr Petros Sithole said, “We urge people to take all necessary precautions and to remain alert during this current spell of bad weather. People should not cross rivers when it is raining heavily, they should remain indoors.”

“We sincerely hope that the weather will clear up so that pupils and learners who are writing exams are not adversely affected. KwaZulu Natal local government and the Provincial Department of Human Settlements must help residents rebuild their homes or even better yet, build them proper houses.” said Sithole.

The IFP once again, sends is condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and may God be with them at this difficult time.
