Inkatha Freedom Party, I would like to wish all members of the
Muslim community here in South Africa and abroad, a very blessed
We recognise that Ramadan is a significant
time for Muslims in South Africa.
We know that during this time, Muslims are
committed to periods of prayer, fasting and acts of kindness. It
is a time for reflection and sharing with those less fortunate.
It is against this background that it is our
hope that this holy month brings with it an abundance of peace
and spiritual development to all the followers of Islam.
And in the spirit of sharing and a commitment
to a more just society, it is our wish that during this month,
Muslims on the African continent will keep our brothers and
sisters in conflict-ridden States on our continent in their
thoughts and prayers.
The IFP extends its best wishes to our Muslim
community for Ramadan Mubarak and a joyous Eid-ul-fitr with
friends and family. We wish all families marking Ramadan over
the coming weeks a peaceful time.
