No Excuse for Not Voting

06 May 2014.

The IFP Youth Brigade calls on all South Africans, especially youth, to practise their constitutional right by going out in their numbers to vote in this fifth general election.

“There is no excuse for not voting; people must vote so that their voices are heard when government is taking decisions. We encourage young people to vote in their numbers. The only party that will bring change is the IFP.

Unemployment is a big challenge facing our young people, and our education system needs an overhaul,” said IFP Youth Brigade National Chairperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa, MP.

“I encourage young people to vote because their vote will guarantee a better future for us. We want to advise young people that they must vote for parties that have a clear vision of delivering on their needs, they mustn’t vote for parties with empty promises, especially in addressing youth unemployment.

“The time has come for young people to get rid of the ANC-led government which has failed them for a long time,’ said Hlengwa.

That’s why the IFPYB calls on government to establish a Youth Ministry to address the challenges facing young people.
