The IFP has praised the South African Police
Services (SAPS) for offering a reward of up to
R100 000 for any
information leading to the arrests of Major-General Tirhani
Simon Maswanganyi's killers. IFP Spokesperson on Police, Mr
Velaphi Ndlovu, MP said, "The multi-departmental team of
investigators must work around the clock in making sure that the
killers are arrested soon. This issue must be fully investigated
and no stone should be left unturned. All cases the
Major-General was working on must continue unabated."
Ndlovu further stated that, "Strategies and
plans used by Major-General Tirhani Simon Maswanganyi must
continue to be used. Maswanganyi did an excellent job in
fighting crime. He was ruthless regarding corrupt activities,
and is an example to his colleagues of an exemplary police
officer," concluded Ndlovu.
The IFP would like to send its deepest
condolences to Maswanganyi's family, friends and his colleagues.
