IFP Saddened by the Death of Cllr Ngubane in Mogale City

The IFP is saddened by the death of its PR councillor, Mr Patrick Ngubane, who was gunned down last night. Cllr Ngubane was 44 years old and from Kagiso. He was shot and killed at Mogale City Hostel on the West Rand yesterday, Saturday 19 July, at approximately 18h30.


According to witnesses Cllr Ngubane attempted to calm a crowd that were fighting and was fatally shot. No arrest has been made.


"We call on the police to urgently investigate and to ensure that justice is served," said IFP National Organizer, Mr Alco Ngobese.


"Cllr Ngubane, who was the IFP's representative in the Mogale City Municipality served the IFP and the people of Mogale City with great distinction," he added.


"We pass our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. We will miss him for his great service to the Party as well the people whom he served," Mr Alco Ngobese concluded.
