IFP Commends SAPS for Arresting Krejcir

25 November 2013

The IFP applauds the South Africa Police Services (SAPS) for finally arresting Czech fugitive and businessman, Radovan Krejcir on Friday.

IFP spokesperson on Police, Mr Velaphi Ndlovu MP said, “SAPS has done a commendable job by finally arresting Krejcir, who has many cases pending under his name. We hope this arrest will help to prove his involvement in other criminal acts that he is suspected of, such as organised crime. We urge SAPS to investigate the motive of the bombings that occurred at Krejcir’s offices in Befordview, where one person died and five were injured.”

The IFP urges the court to not grant Krejcir bail as he is a flight risk.

Ndlovu said, “Krejcir should not be granted bail as it is likely that he might skip the country while he is still under investigation. SAPS cannot afford to lose this case as they have worked hard to arrest him. He is a danger to society and our country.”

“We also call for any SAPS members who have worked with Krejcir in any criminal activity to be arrested and fired,” concluded Ndlovu.
